Why Us?

Australia’s first fully recognised Dance specific Registered Training Organisation (RTO 91600), ADi has committed itself to excellence in vocational education since its establishment in 2008 and continues to lead delivery of dance education and professional development for dance students and teachers across Australia.

Drawing upon extensive dance industry and VET experience, our courses focus on supporting and nurturing a versatile range of students.

Each qualification develops knowledge in key areas such as safe dance practice, anatomy, critical thinking skills, artistic expression, and business management. This provides graduates with extended job awareness and career “safety nets” of potential pathways into arts administration, dance performance, assessment, teaching, venue management, choreography etc.

What are the benefits?

Over the years ADi has provided education, we have seen firsthand the benefits of these qualifications, not only for the dance industry but in each student’s future success.

ADi courses mean students have access to quality and responsible dance education in accordance with ADi and Government requirements. Upon completion, our students receive vocational certificates in dance and dance teaching. ADi students can also undertake VET in Schools programmes in the mainstream schooling system at primary and high schools.

All courses are nationally recognised and continuously improved, drawing on the experience of diverse professionals in the industry. We are dedicated to working with dance students in all forms and avenues, acknowledging each individual sector and the opportunities they bring to the larger industry.

ADi believes the key to a successful career comes from harnessing technical skills, broadening knowledge and empowering our students.

Students may have the opportunity to obtain Austudy funding, apprenticeships and further VET qualifications.
